Better UX!

December 19, 2012

Another year of beautiful prototyping is coming to an end! A year full of development, hard work and lots of fun!

In 2012 Proto.io has gone through a complete redesign of all interfaces. Furthermore, features like annotations and comments, multi-device support, UI components for iOS, Android and Windows, interactions, animations and many more bits and pieces all came to reality. So, what’s next? We would like to make some promises for 2013!

Promise #1 – Better UX
In the following weeks you will notice minor upgrades taking place, all geared towards providing a better User Experience for Proto.io users. You might already have noticed small changes were implemented to the editor UI, like snap guides support and zoom functionality improvements. There is much more to come. We’ve lined up 35 small and some not so small changes to improve UX. Hopefully all the changes will be released by mid-February, however we plan to release them incrementally as they become available (you may track the releases here http://proto.io/en/changelog/).

Promise #2 – Tutorials + Documentation
We have already released a fair amount of documentation and small tutorials in our Docs section (http://docs.proto.io/). Nevertheless, as features increase, documentation needs to increase as well, and we promise not to forget about it!

Promise #3 – The next big thing
We always like to pioneer! Proto.io is among the first (if not the first) prototyping tools to provide on device preview, multi-device support and advanced interactions and animations for mobile prototyping. In 2013 we will release V4 our next prototyping platform to introduce more unique prototyping features! We apologize for not sharing them with you but we would like to keep them as a surprise. If you would like to suggest a feature to be considered in the V4 release there’s still time. Please send us an email to suggestions@proto.io

Closing, we would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful Proto.io community and friends and wish everyone happy holidays and a wonderful 2013!

The Proto.io Team
