Some of you may have noticed already that when you open the asset manager it prompts you for an update. That’s because we have re-engineered the asset manager from bottom up. Why? To stay in line with our tagline “Silly-fast mobile prototyping”.
The new asset manager is way faster than the previous one and most importantly it is robust and stable. Some of you may have experienced some minor issues with the asset manager in the past, but not any more. The reason is simple: we have moved all asset definitions from XML data on the cloud to relational databases. That makes it faster, more reliable and more flexible. Even though the asset manager is still visually the same, the core architecture behind the asset manager has been completely rewritten.
All of the pre-release accounts and projects are fully compatible with the new asset manager. All you need to do is follow the instructions when you load it. You will be asked just once to upgrade your accounts assets and each project assets and that’s it!
